William Knies (1997) is one of the new generation 3D artists from Utrecht, the Netherlands.

He grew up with the development of the internet culture and started researching various expressions of new media and the internet at a young age. From making simple videos to editing memes to drawings. His willingness to express his own world brought him to the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU) for the Bachelor of Design Illustration and graduated with honors in 2020.

​

His personal artistic works focus on the contrast and balance of our digital and physical world. He reflects on people and how they see and experience the world and their reality. His final products are multimedia experiences that question identity and the near future.

He aims to further research new media as well as finding new perspectives on narrative.

​

Among his diverse skill set are 3D animation and sculpting, video editing and illustrating. With expertise in various aspects of imagery, he frequently receives requests to create engaging 3D visuals and cover art for the music industry, 3D garments for the fashion industry, and produce compelling concept art for brands and originations.

He created striking visuals for artists such as DJ Drama, Bebe Rexha, Keshi, BoyWithUke, Babyface Ray and Icewear Vezzo.
