William Knies (1997) is one of the new generation 3D artists from Utrecht, the Netherlands.
He grew up with the development of the internet culture and started researching various expressions of new media and the internet at a young age. From making simple videos to editing memes to drawings. His willingness to express his own world brought him to the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU) for the Bachelor of Design Illustration and graduated with honors.
His work today focuses on the contrast and balance of our digital and physical world. He reflects on people and how they see and experience the world and their reality. His final products are multimedia experiences that question identity and the near future.
His future focus is to further research new media while finding new perspectives on narrative.
His skills consist of: 3D animation and sculpting, editing and 2D/3D illustrating. His expertise rests in creating 3D visualizers for the music industry.
